Fugu Casino and responsible play
Gambling at Fugu Casino is entertainment for adults aged 18 and over, and it should never be a way to earn money or recover losses.
1. Recognising when play is a problem
1.1 Changes in behaviour
Play is becoming a problem when sessions run longer than planned, when a member returns to chase a loss, when gambling replaces other activities or when a member hides the amount spent from family or friends. Irritation at the end of a session and the wish to play to change a mood are further signs.
1.2 Changes in money
Depositing more than was budgeted, depositing again soon after a withdrawal, borrowing to play or using money meant for bills and rent all point the same way. Anyone who notices any of these should stop and use the controls in section 2.
1.3 Bonus-related signs
Raising stakes towards the €5 limit only to finish wagering, depositing to unlock the next step of a package or the weekly reload, and feeling unable to stop before wagering is complete are signs that the bonus, not the entertainment, is driving play.
1.4 A short self-check
A member who would find it hard to stop for a month, or who feels uneasy when asked how much was spent, should contact an independent organisation listed in section 6 and does not need to wait for a loss to do so.
2. Controls we arrange
2.1 Limits on request
Deposit limits, loss limits and bet limits are set by our support team on request. A member writes to [email protected] or opens live chat, which runs around the clock, and names the limit and the amount.
2.2 Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion is available on request through support, by writing in live chat or to [email protected].
2.3 How requests are made
Limits and exclusion are arranged by our support team, so the request is made in writing or in live chat and not from a screen in the account. A request is best made before play rather than during a session, and the confirmation from support should be kept for reference.
3. A budget that fits the numbers on the site
3.1 Choose a ceiling before depositing
The smallest deposit is €10 / $10 and the smallest withdrawal €20. Neither figure is a target. A monthly amount that is affordable without borrowing is the ceiling, and it is best set before the first deposit.
3.2 Bonus wagering multiplies play
A bonus is not free money. The welcome package carries 40x wagering on the bonus, so a deposit of €100 that earns a bonus of €125 requires €5,000 of stakes before the bonus can be withdrawn (an example in euros). If that figure looks too large, decline the bonus or choose a smaller step. The stake limit while wagering is €5 per bet.
3.3 Withdrawing before turnover
A withdrawal requested before the deposit has been turned over once carries a 10% commission. The rule should not be treated as a reason to keep playing: a member who wants to stop may simply pay the commission or ask support for advice.
3.4 Limits are ceilings
The daily withdrawal limit of €4,000 / $4,000 on Standard and Regular, or €10,000 / $10,000 on Captain, is a payment limit set by the VIP tier. It says nothing about what is safe to spend and should never be read as a spending target.
3.5 Weekly reloads and rakeback
The weekly reload of 50% up to €400 / $400 and the rakeback cycles invite regular deposits. If deposits are timed to the offers instead of to a budget, ask support for a deposit limit and decline the offer for the week.
4. Breaks and offers
4.1 Planned pauses
A member can stop at any time by not depositing. A formal break is arranged as self-exclusion through support, as described in clause 2.2, and anyone who returns afterwards should ask for limits to be set before the first deposit.
4.2 Declining offers
A welcome step starts only with a deposit of €20 / $20 or more, so a deposit from €10 / $10 up to just under €20 / $20 plays without a bonus. The weekly reload and the no-deposit spins are claimed by the member and can simply be left unclaimed in any week.
5. Banking barriers
5.1 Separate money for play
Money for play belongs in its own account or wallet, kept apart from household money. Cards, e-wallets and exchange wallets used at the cashier can be limited or blocked at the bank or provider.
5.2 Cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrency deposits arrive quickly and are easy to repeat, so a fixed amount per week is more useful here than for slower bank transfers.
5.3 Verification and spending
Document checks start at total deposits of €2,000, and the source of funds is asked about from €10,000. These checks protect the account. They do not replace the member’s own limit, which should be much lower than either figure.
6. Independent support
6.1 Organisations
GamCare, Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy offer confidential help to people affected by gambling and to their families. Their services are free of charge and have no link with the casino.
6.2 What to say when asking for help
It is enough to say that gambling has become a worry; no loss has to have happened. Calls and chats with the organisations above are confidential, and a member can describe the situation in general terms.
6.3 Local services
In Germany the Bundesinstitut für Öffentliche Gesundheit runs a free helpline on 0800 1 37 27 00. In Ontario, ConnexOntario offers a free, confidential gambling helpline on 1-866-531-2600, open 24/7. In Austria the Spielsuchthilfe provides free, confidential counselling nationwide, anonymous on request. A family doctor is an additional first contact in any country.
7. Limits tied to the Fugu rules
7.1 Age check
The date of birth entered at registration is compared with the identity document at the first withdrawal, which is where the 18+ rule is enforced for an account.
7.2 Payout limits as protection
The daily withdrawal limit of the VIP tier caps what can be withdrawn in one day: €4,000 / $4,000 on Standard and Regular, €10,000 / $10,000 on Captain and none on Legend, so a member on a lower tier cannot take a very large win out in a single day. A member who wants a lower ceiling than the tier gives asks for a limit as described in clause 2.1.
8. Support for a person close to a member
8.1 What we can discuss
A relative who is worried can write to [email protected] or open live chat and ask how limits and self-exclusion are requested, without naming the account.
8.2 Where relatives turn
The national services in clause 6.3, Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy all take calls from relatives.
